Issue 03 – LAKE COMO, PART I

A rotating exhibition of photographs. One series at a time.

This issue is from our trip to Lake Como. We had two jobs in the north of Italy, and Como was the perfect place in between. We stayed for about five days in Lezzeno, a quiet town away from the main tourist paths, and it quickly became one of our favorite trips, a chance to watch the locals and glimpse everyday life by the lake

I’d seen countless photos of Lake Como over the years, like everyone else, but I never really looked into it properly. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and that turned out to be the best part. On the very first day, driving to our Airbnb, everything along the way felt surreal. The whole region is simply beautiful.

The days there were slow and simple, swimming in the lake, wandering through small towns, finding quiet spots, and being surrounded by the mountains. Como feels like a bubble, where time slows down and nothing else matters.

If you’d like to read more about our days in Lake Como, Laís wrote a beautiful blog post about the trip [link].
